We did the same group exercise on inventing options and generating design ideas that we did in 2D. We were to finish the creation of 3 eco friendly transport designs. We all agreed that the segway was the most appropriate choice as it is simple and would easily run on solar power.

We then found the segway 2-seater version and came up with the "Family friendly" version but it would be bigger than the 2 seater segway:

Design Exploration - This task asked us to choose our favourite 3D design and display /list the following:
Two Experiments
Pros & Cons
Choosing & Refusing
My Lamp Design idea :
Lamp:
Lamp Idea:
Its made of paper and has 2 prongs one at each end so i could easily take the shade off and alter it.
I had 2 Ideas, One a blacklight and the other a shade like a snowflake or stencil with coloured paper replacing the holes.
1: Blacklight
Pros & Cons:
Pros: Cool effect, not on the market, very funky
Cons: doesnt emit much light therefore semi-impractical
Choosing & Refusing:
Choosing the uv but not all the time, refusing the uv all the time.
1: Snowflake/ stencil
Pros & Cons:
Pros: - soft light for background light that is suitable for many areas and isnt generic or boring.
Cons: could look too busy and not very appealing

Choosing & Refusing:
choosing the stencil in large areas not small ones as i am refusing the lamp to appear too out there.
I found a video on modern lighting:
