3. Progress in the last week (Written By Each student and shared)

Josie:
My progress hasn’t moved so much as my design is final therefore all I have been doing is scrounging up materials for my 3D components and refining my logo lettering. I cant complete my logo as I want the materials I use for the 3D aspect to look the same as my 2D logo. Once I complete the 3D component then I shall finish the logo.

Sunita:
In the past week I have made touch ups and modifications to my images. They have been put into appropriate format and have been handed over to Damien to print on the beast printer with semi gloss paper. Also I have researched framing companies that I can call to get quotes on having the prints applied to MDF and framed.

Billie:
Progress on my 2D design hasn’t been that great this week. I’m still at the stage of cleaning up design for print. I want to create very smooth lines before I do anymore stencils of my design and screen print it as its starting to get a bit costly buying more printing paper each week. So after this week I should be right to start doing up some final prints.

Warwick:
Once upon a time there was a boy who saved all his work and then one day a File Pirate came along and stole his Ai file. A i Captain!

On a serious note I did lost my Ai file for my MB Logo for 2D Design but I re-created it and added a couple of different types of grass. One using typical grass modified from google images and the second one was with Josie helping me to create a custom grass brush tool in photshop then dropped it into my new Ai file logo. It still looks a bit busy so I may have to simplify it to a few blades of grass so it can print. Lucky the Pirate didn’t find the treasure which was on my Gold USB stick! ARRRR!!

IMAGES OF MY PROGRESS:

This is my progress to date on my Portfolio task. My Backround is a photoshop image placed on master pages in Adobe InDesign. Although this is the only image in the portfolio at the moment

This is how I have been spending my time. Editing my images to CMYK instead of RGB and making sure they are all print Resolution. These images in particular are actually on canvas and are photos of the canvas. The flash was hard to get rid of in the images but I did my best. This makes my portfolio have 3 different mediums. This image alone has Watercolour, pencil, paint, ink, paper and canvas.

This is an image of my headboard for my exhibition 3D design to exact measurements. 175cm x 50 cm. I did this so i can make my 2D design exactly equidistant from each letter. In this image the pictures and letters are represented by black squares. The circle design will fit into that big black box and the letters will take up as much space as each small black box.
Pathfinding :)

I wish i'd thought of this earlier... But i could of done a photo series of slow motion things hitting peoples faces or walls. this would of been really cool on the wall in the exhibition and it would of captured peoples attention.

OVER AND OUT!
